Reliable mechanic in Glasgow

Post by wivvy09 » Mon Aug 30, 2010 2:07 pm

Hi folks

Recently just moved to Glasgow and wondering if there are any recommended mechanics you would trust to work on Elises/Vx's.

Used to go to Ali at SLS but thats a bit out of the way now

JJ used to rate drivers and i think some people have gone to a guy in Hillington, but most Weegie's make the treck to SLS AFAIK

Gerry at performancetek did a few jobs on my honda elise and was spot on. http://www.performancetek.co.uk

I initially went to see him because of the honda specialist thing, but really he just knows sh!tloads about cars and is a good mechanic. Worth a shout. I see he has also just finished building his K20 powered Jazz so a bit of work on an elise is not going to be a problem.

Cairnlea wont take a VX im afraid - i asked last time and david was quite honest

"If you werent in a hurry, you didnt hassle me, i was quiet and it was an easy job then i might consider it" was his response the last time i asked.

:damnfunny

Good suggestion of performancetek JJ - just round the corner from me :thumbsup Gareth you going try him out for me ?

Irvine any use?

Henry Roy 07533017716

He was my West Coast SLS when I stayed in Glasgow: bit of a treck to get there and based on a farm, but good value and knew the car inside out.
