Thanks to Mike, Tut and Alan for the pax laps.

Alan, your arm wasn't causing you much problems in term of track driving. Hope you got used to the new lines and improved the lap time by at least 1.5 seconds by 5pm.

:cheers
My arm gave me very few problems, the only trouble is when i need full opposite lock.

I had a ball, spending a good bit of time sorting out my suspension settings. The rest of the day was spent improving my lap times, Mass gave me some usefull tips on a dry line. Nearly flat out on the chicane and using all of the track and some more on Clarks.

Still not happy with my brakes but thats the next problem to fix, love CR RC6 but still manage to overheat my brakes (Hydraulic Issue). If only I had a few extra BHP to keep up with the 211's and old goats.

Thanks
Alan

I'm sure you could get that back without increasing the power

Although KH is trickier as everyone has driven 1000+ laps

I like your thinking. I really was trying yesterday, especially after lunch. Roughly the same pace from duffis to the chicane but they just pull away on the straight. I know that car can do a quicker lap though. I'm nearly there with the set-up and I will have my brakes sorted for next time.

After that, driving it on track more regular with instruction etc .... It's amazing what a passanger picks up. I had a few pointers from Mass which added 5-10 MPH to my speed on the striaght, which made my day.

Nothing you can do about the extra power on the straights Alan, but depending on the other drivers expertise, you can concentrate on getting the maximum speed out of the corner and onto the straight, and optimum speed into the corner balancing speed with braking.

You would have noticed that with yourself and others that were down on power compared to me, that I would slow down and wait for them to pass, then follow them again but not put the foot full down on the straight. You could see this at the end of Mike's video.

With Mike and George, who has 300hp in his 2-11, I could go flat out against cars that were actually faster than mine, which is far more satisfying than passing cars just because I have more power.

Alan, I'm glad you have added some speed :thumbsup Once you are happy with the lines, I have some more pointers if you like.

See you soon.

You found an extra 40hp somewhere for me Tut, I should have 260hp with latest ECU same as Mikes. Apparently this is a real 255hp as opposed to the original 255hp ECU which was more like 220hp in reality. Not much in it on straights with N3 and I think Alan's car not all that far off in straight line speed.

I think it was Gazoo who had 300hp in his 2-11 courtesy of Komotec.

I had Scotty from Knockhill out with me on a couple of occasions and can recommend having some instruction. Definitely helps with lines, braking or not as the case may be and where and when to get back on the throttle, Well worth it as they see things you might miss and your benifiting from their experience as racers. It was actually Scotty Cruickshank who recomended using trackday instructors as you always get a little from each which improves you as a driver. Certainly worked for me.

I have 220 BHP (40 off the 211's and 50/60 off Tuts :( ) which is plenty for me. I think a little more torque lower down would be a good thing, something i can sort out fairly easy (I mean cheaply).

George, You're a very curtious driver on track. Leaving plenty of space between cars and waiting for the indicators. Hope I didn't hold you up later on in the day.

Cheers
Alan

P.S Mass, that would be great.
