Grand Designs returns....

Post by IanD » Wed Sep 08, 2010 11:30 pm

Returns to Channel 4 next Wednesday.
One of my favourites having watched it from the original series and even seeing Kevin in Home Front before getting his own programme.
One of a very few house programmes to have stood the test of time.

I'm quite liking "Help, My House Is falling Down", with The Beenie.
The wife & I never get tired of trying to guess whether she is going to be pregnant in the next scene or not.

I thought her face was even better - totally non-plussed.
The house looked great IMHO but their retro furniture didn't do it for me and I think the tower would have been better if they had stuck with wood for that too instead of the corrugated / yoghurt finish.

Theres a shop near me that sells solely retro "cool" 60s /70s Ercol gear, some of you probably remember it the first time round but its the one thing I am seeing more of that I loathe. Utter rubbish.

The house was very cool though and I cant believe the refurb they got for £200k. I just wouldnt have filled it with Barras junk furniture.
