I'm getting a new puppy

Post by Noops » Tue Oct 05, 2010 12:27 am

Some good news

I'm a chocolate lab man have had three gens of working dogs over the last 14 years, saddly I had my four year old breeding (middle ) bitch ( and terrior ) poisoned last year by someone around here... and saddly my lab died in my arms on the kitchen floor  . The oldest( the grandmother old age) died a few months later , so I lost two labs in a few months leaving my with my old pal , saddly she was to old to breed so my line was lost,,,,, :? .

Out of the blue someone who had a sister to my poisoned bitch wanted the endorsments lifted and tryed for pups , saddly the bitch lost the litter, never to try again...

Amazingly another sister came into the picture then whelp and had seven black/choc healthy puppys where born about three weeks ago.. I've been to see them and am I'm having one or I might take a pair of my own stock back :thumbsup .

So granny Oorus will have her grand kids the 4th gen to look after :thumbsup .

Its not all bad and they will keep me busy if I'm not driving :thumbsup

Cheers

I would have a chocolate labrador in a perfect world; unfortunately Tom has asthma and cannot cope with the shed fur, so we have a cream labradoodle instead - "Woofy", or to give her complete name, "Princess Woofy Elizabeth Womble-Floppy Trotters McGee" :-) She is our first dog, though Katie's family have always had standard poodles, so we're not complete novices. She is great fun, and growing and learning fast!

Yes, she looks like a lab with a perm. Neil - cannot wait to see pictures of your puppy/puppies. Assuming that if you get two, both will be working dogs?

I have a big soft spot for chocolate labs ....

I arrived at Robin's on Sunday to find a scene from that of an Andrex advert, with Princess Woofy Elizabeth Womble-Floppy Trotters McGee rolling around the hallway in a whole toilet role which had been completely shredded!

Lovely dog Robin, and I liked the delegation of tidying the mess up!

I love getting dog name's right spontainously......all my dogs are named after certain things that have happened in our familys trip through life, Engis was named after sitting in a formula I car somthing to do with a missing engine......., Punch was named by Neil Jr the first word he thought of and on it went on........ :thumbsup

Many many many years a go I wanted to call a pair of Labs, Kane & Able it never happened , I strangly already have names for the new puppys that I have always wanted to use for 22 years and never got the chance to use them.... when Neil Jr was born on 6/6 /88 which was D - Day + 44years, my new puppys will be named from the D Day 6th June 1944. landings either Utah , Omaha , Sword , Juno or Gold , names to stir the memories of all who took part in Normandy ... and as I love Kayaking and the beach :thumbsup
