Mike, I know it doesn't help the initial order but I will order more once I have got the first T-shirt and know I have the right size.

J2 I think you have misunderstood me. I thought the amount of people who would order would have greater not the individual valve of each order. So far only 14 people have ordered through the shop. When I checked we have approx 300 members with more than 100 posts. This was the figure used as a prospective customer base. Obviously not all of them are still active but we have a lot of active members with less than 100 posts so it balances out IYSWIM. Of that number I was looking at maybe 25% ordering which hasn't happened.......yet It will come but it looks like it might take longer than initially thought therefore there will probably be a delay in placing first order. Like I said on the site it would all depend on initial orders.

One thing that might not be clear to some people is that this shop is a non profit venture. There are no postage charges as it has be calculate with in the price. I only did this so that the clothing would be available anytime.
I have never done anything like this before and has been a huge learning curve trying to pull it all together and as long as I don't end up out of pocket I will keep it going.

Thanks to those of you that have place orders and please be patient so that we end up with a long term asset to the community. If anybody has any ideas about anything else they would like to see in the store then post up or pm me. And if anybody knows any suppliers for speed cats can they let me know as I want to see if I can organise a drop shipping deal.

Speed Cats might be something I would be interested in, prior to Spa in Nov :-) Keep us posted.

Away back to work today. By the time I get home the first clothing order will be in. I was going to get my better half to send out the outstanding orders but I would rather check the gear out and make sure it is what I was expecting, quality wise.

Orders have slowed after an initial flurry, if your ordering for xmas remember to give me time to get more stock. Will have some left from this initial order but sods law it won't be in the size/colour you want. Stickers and mugs still present a problem in that there isn't enough people wanting them at the moment. 20 of each sticker and about 10 mugs have been bought. I have to buy these in at 250 stickers and 72 mugs at a time, in excess of £1000 to place, you can see the dilemma. Never fear if there appears to be a steady stream of people wanting them then I will take the risk and get them in. Failing that I will refund anybodies outstanding order and take them off the site, which would be a shame.
Out of the hundreds of current active members so far 18 of you have placed orders. Looks like the same problem the calendar was facing.

If anybody knows who has the original artwork for the SE T-Shirts that were done previously can they PM me as I would like to try and do a run of them as well, assuming it isn't copyright to Manifold clothing.

Mike,

I am no expert however is there a thriving SE3 community within Facebook?

I get the impression that the forum is a little quieter than it used to be, and had assumed this was the reason. I don't have a Facebook account, however, so I can't say for sure.

In which case you want a Facebook member to do a bit of promo I guess.

Nope

There is a facebook group which has had three posts in its life. Clearly a lot of members are mates on facebook, but it's not really taken the place of SE in terms of the SE discussions. More about what people have had for tea.

Although clearly it's another avenue to pursue

Selfishly, I feel better :-)

Sadly for Mike, it's a channel that might not bear a lot of fruit :-(

Agree SE3 on facebook has in no way taken over from this forum so this is where the chasing of sales should be done. I am surprised that so few people have ordered given the number of active members we have !!

Come on guys get ordering - what would you rather get for Christmas, SE merchandise or socks ? !! :thumbsup

Perhaps we all need to send the Shop thread to our nearest and dearest with a big "Christmas Stocking" subject line :-)

You can be the SE shop sales manager with an idea like that :thumbsup .

On a serious note, I am prepared to put my money where my mouth is, so to speak, and order in the bulk items if I think there is a chance of covering costs but at the moment at least it doesn't appear to be the demand we have seen in the past. Now weather that is down to the design, price, economy, lack of members etc etc I have no idea and that is what this thread was for, feedback.
So if there is something you don't like, would like to see added or any issues with the quality of the gear once it arrives then this is the place, and I will do my level best to sort it out.
