Tough break. Will watch out for you on Police! Camera! Action! in due course.

£300 is a lot of money when things have been tight.

12 months out of the saddle is going to feel really weird, at least at first. You may need to enforce a ban on Mags as well, though, or at least speed limit all your vehicles to 60. Can you imagine if she got herself done, you'd both have to ride around on a bloody tandem for goodness' sake. And I know who'd be doing the pedalling.

But re-sitting your test...well, you have a year to swot up for it but I don't know how you are going to get any practice in (legally) or what crackpot instructor would take you on :damnfunny

Enjoy Bute.

Campbell you would be bored with the driving on tape...I'm clobbered by 90 seconds of elise exubarance  , yup Mags scairs me driving.....and I would be peddleing for both ...if she was tanned for driving well that would be ........................................hard, I have a pal 40 yards away done for 120+ on a rather tasty bike and been though the mill like me so I will be ok for instruction advise etc...

Are you selling the 160 Neil or you going to hang on to it.

If you're keeping it I suggest taking you resit in it, examiners face will be a picture. :D

On the off chance that someone reads this and thinks it might be a good idea, keep in mind that you probably won't be allowed to use an Elise for a test, and if you turn up in one, you'll simply have wasted your test fees :thumbsup

Just read through it and can not see anything that would rule an Elise out, other than a mph/kmhr speedo.

What about:
Convertible vehicles

Some convertible vehicles are unsuitable for the driving test because of the lack of all-round vision for the examiner.

All round vision in an S1 is excellent IMHO, shouldn't be an issue? Possibly they are reffering to, for instance, an MX5, which with the roof up only has a very small rear screen.

ETA: Do it.

Neil,

Brian here again. My last post seems to have gone. Sorry to hear the outcome. I have a new lawyer and going to go all the way. Have done timing measurements at the exact spot of my offence proving significant error and have taken photos etc These clearly show that both marks are not visioble from the location the police were hiding in, on private land behind trees. This is all in direct contravention with ACPO guidelines for Pilot. Keep yer fingers crossed for me. Trial date is 29th October but I suspect that will get put back. If I keep my licence have a few toys that i could take you for a spin on or in. Will let you know how I get on.

All the best B

Bute was lovely :thumbsup , however I'm home with plans to crack on and not let this hold me back... :thumbsup

Just downloaded a coundown calender to the 6/10/11, so everytime I open my labtop on I can see the seconds to my ban lifted ticking by .... :thumbsup.

I have work to get keep me busy so starting tomorrow my drivers Noops Jr, Mags and a few others will be incharge of getting me around.......should be intresting??? anyone want run a book on how long it takes or how many times we are pulled by L&B over the next year.... :blackeye .

So far the advantages,It is rather nice being driven around ( relaxing 8) ), I don;t have to worry about answering my fone ( more work) , I can look at the veiw ( nice legs) , I don;t have to make a desicion at a junction,(oh sh*t) ......

Disadvantages, Its a pain driving in the same traffic (stress  ), I can;t answer my fone ( less work), I don't see the veiw ( what are legs :?: ) I have to make a desicion at a junction ( same to you mate :finger )..

Can you book a test for the day the ban is lifted or do you have to wIt until your ( presumably provisional) licence is back before you book? If the latter your ban could be even longer while you wait for a re-test
