I sent a cheeky email to a dealer south of London offering up my 993 in part exchange for the red beast and got an offer I just couldn't refuse (hefty amount more than I paid for it two years ago!)
I drove the 993 down to London and picked up the F355. I was dreading bringing the F355 back through the M25 but it was faultless and very easy to drive in traffic. The AC was inoperable which was a shame as it was a big drive and during the fairly warm period we had in September, also after the fiasco I had trying to get my AC to work in the 993 (still doesn't work) I was worried it was going to be £££ to fix.
Got a mate to test the pressure in the AC system and found it to be extremely low but still holding so thought it was a good sign. Did the unthinkable by taking it to Kwik Fit for a regas, they didn't have the car in the system but I gave them the details they needed. They regassed it but the guy said my AC condensor fan wasn't kicking in so said there would be no charge. We checked the fuse for the AC fan and it was blown, replaced it and now have icy cold AC. So the big bill turned out to be £0.00.
