A return to Spa is pushing my luck at present.

Oulton looks expensive (though I guess it's still great VFM).

Zolder caught my eye. What's that like then? Geordie Express to Amsterdam maybe?

Croft is maybe not out of the question either.

But all are currently very aspirational...Lisa is threatening to give up work again...eek.

Hi,

I was chatting to Neil about doing SPA on the 18th March, he advised they are doing a double header that weekend with a visit to Croix on the way home. That Package is advertised on their newsletter today at £299 including Friday night accomodation.

Think I'll be booking up for the double venue.

Cheers

Could be up for Spa in September. Would have preferred earlier mind you.

I'd definitely be up for one of the Oulton dates, perhaps the June one?

Croix is a 10 minute visit in the morning, then head for the pub/tunnel.

It's a tyre killer - OK if you fancy yourself as a drifting-god, but otherwsie just a PITA. I think we lasted until 11:00 last time, and that was partly because my car was bust so Ross and I were sharing Neil's car ...

Cheers,
Robin

Robins right. Even I was bored by 10am, although the drifting was quite good fun for an hour :thumbsup

Let me get this straight (sic).

6 corners.

3 of which are hairpins.

OK two of those could be considered double-apex jobs, but near enough hairpins.

One banzai straight.

I can see where the guys are coming from...feels a bit like the Race of Champions "circuit" !!

It's not even that much of a banzai straight - the satellite is quite zoomed in :-)

Think I might just give that part a miss then, I'm certainly no drifting god. Really do fancy doing SPA so maybe I need a wee rethink.

The other option for Spa would be the following weekend. Bookatrack are doing another full weekend there 26-27th March - http://bookatrack.com/-pE_Trackday-Calendar.html

Just focus on doing Spa. One day is fine, two days is to spoil yourself ;-)

Find an excuse to go and stay at the Ring though - Robin suggested this and I thought he was mad (well, he is) but if the Burgstube will allow SE back (tell them the Mad Welsh sleepy guy won't be there this time) then it's very nice, and Pistenklaus is top notch for tea. Only 90 mins to Spa via nice quiet backroads then m-way.

Go on...

The hotel La Source (IIRC) at Spa was reported to be good too by those that stayed there.

Nothing against B-a-T but I prefer to go on a LoT day if possible, so I'll stick to plan A. Check ring opening times that weekend nearer the time?

Cheers,
Robin

Ok, so who is doing what?
I would rather do the double header, but if the LOT is the one we are going on then thats fine.
BAT also have a double header later on in the year, which may be better.(Perhaps I should just leave the VX there , and save all the driving?)
What are the planned routes for getting over there?

Cheers
