Yes, I really did write that 2 weeks ago. I think that is what is called 'tempting fate' :D :D

The Beemer hasn't moved from my drive since Sat (been working from home), nor it is likely to for a while yet by the look of things

On the plus side, it won't be like this next winter - what would the chances of that be - so you've saved yourself a few quid.

haha! I wouldnt bet on that. And i wouldnt be that this melt will then be the end of winter either.

And then you'll thrash yourself for being a pikee.

Might as well just get geared up for winter and enjoy the fact that the rest of the world cant get about!

The roads this week have been brilliant - no traffic :thumbsup

I've seriousy upgraded my winterisation abilities as this weather could have killed a week of december trading! Not even vaguely worth the cost of some proper tyres and a snow thrower.

Porker is getting winter boots on Thurs, no real snow left but it's been raining and foggy while the temp is below zero.... the road is rather slick!

What's the snow in the burg like? Just aborted a drive inwith S as cars were backed up on the hill to aberdour with hazards on sliding back down. Debating on cancelling meeting etc or wait till idiots have sacked it and retry.

The media would have you believe it is Armageddon (again).

I think some parts of Edin *were* in a mess.

But this is nothing compared to the "Central Scotland Motorway Network" which is, I believe, still on its knees.

well it took me 2.5 hours to go from bo'ness to bo'ness town centre, to linlithgow bridge and home again. Less than 10 miles. I didnt get stuck or have any bother once, but the amount of other people causing chaos brough it to a standstill in every direct. Was pretty close to Armagedon as i hadnt had my breakfast and was about to go radge at the next person to get stuck due to being a fanny

LOL, can just imagine that !

See my own rant on the Edinburgh to Glasgow thread.

Linlithgow is going to be an ice rink tomorrow, think I'll just wander up to the traffic lights at Mill Road in my coffee breaks for some light entertainment.
