Farewell Type 72, Hello Evora!

D and I have always had the rule of...if I buy a car, you have to buy a car. With my 340R purchase two weeks ago it was always on the cards!
That and our wee email chat last Friday afternoon....always dangerous!

Who's going to be first to give me a shot. Derek or the old man mentioned above?!
Having previously said I was not an Evora fan....I am really starting to like them and that's without driving one.
Maybe an RS replacement for 2011 in a bonkers colour.

Derek and Karen - it has been a pleasure to deal with you for nearly a decade (that makes me feel old) and I'm glad we managed to sell you what is, for me, the best Lotus I've driven so far (and god that's saying something...) I've not driven the S on road yet, only track, but with the CR box the car is transformed and is plenty quick for road use - as we discovered

It looks like my S demo won't arrive till after I leave - so I now only have one Evora left - Ardent Red with totally base spec + Xenons and Sport - £49k (blatant plug)

We've had a good month for Evora - 4 going out total now in December, and that puts me back to no.1 in Europe with 33 new and used - and of course, that's down to you lot, not me, so thanks for your custom....a good way to sign off...

I love Evoras - delighted my new job will still involve them - hopefully I can confirm with everyone this week what that is, snow has being slowing things up - and it might well slow up early week deliveries (!) - two NA Exiges, an RGB, and of course two Evoras....Monty has one set of winter tyres left, might have to be an option...

Just out of interest, how has the Evora been selling? Has it been selling as well as Lotus had hoped? I still have not seen another on the road (other than a planned meet)

I think it's no secret that it hasn't sold as well at Lotus have hoped; I don't think I've sold that many but it's more than anyone else! A great car though, it just needs more cars out there and "bums on seats" for people to see. Lots of things coming to- and having driven the IPS (Auto) and the S, I can confirm that both are very good - and the Auto S, when it comes, will be superb...rapid....

Ashame really. I think the hardest part is actually getting people in to try one out.. Many seem to discard it too quickly.

After wondering long and hard about how we should fill the screenwash on the Exige, the easier option was to go and look at changing the car.

You will find the Evora is a great car and it will grow on you more & more the longer you have it.

Never thought I would say this - but never regretted parting with the 111R for the Evora

Nowt to do with me any more unfortunately - but, rest assured, Craig has the largest vehicle parc for Evora in the UK, so whatever's coming, hopefully we have ensured MMC will get it first - you can let me know!
