Spoke to Hotel, trying to sort out the Lotus room rate, so that should be sorted tommorow.

Looking forward to the trip

Andy

My co-driver has rebooked us to the La Source, thanks Ross!.

I've booked the ferry (out Wednesday, back Saturday, plenty of time in between to do the few 100 miles and drink a few beers :-) Probably less than last time though!!!).

Now all I need to do is insure, MOT, tax and repair Egor in time :-)

Cheers,
Robin

Great,

I’m trying to sort out a passenger [to split the cost] we can decide nearer the time if we should meet up and travel down the A1 on the Wednesday.

Unless the weather is terrible I would advise against A1.

From Edinburgh, the A68/A696 (or A68/A69 if you want to do the roller-coasters on the A68 ;-)) is a much better route provided there is no danger of snow. I've been caught out by snow on the A68 a couple of times and it's tough going around the border, especially in an Elise!

Nothing personal, but I don't much like driving in convoy, so I'll probably just make my own way to the ferry port; on the other side I need to pick Ross up from Schipol so will catch up with you guys at Spa.

Cheers,
Robin

Ohhhh getting exited.... :D
VX now insured and taxed, plate changed, so will need to hope the brakes clean up tomorrow, some (lots of) rough love needed.
New roof, (cheers Derek) and I even cleaned and polished it in the garage tonight, ready for its first outing of the year tomorrow (never bothered with the wheels, as the first hit of the brakes will leave the covered in rust anyway).... it now no longer looks like a shed :thumbsup

Are we booking a garage between us this time?

So the arse plate has gone? I thought it complemented the car well!
A garage would be a good idea. With Bookatrack it was half price in advance - doesn't look like this is an option for LOT

I'd have said that was a good reason to go with 888's  :thumbsup

LOL.

I just remember Tut having to limp N3 round in Nov. I don't think his steering wheel was straight all day and I doubt the throttle pedal got to the floor-stop very often either. Just takes the shine out of the whole thing (for some, at least!).

But what do I know. (Cautious faction).

Slightly different with 300 SC ponies though - wet track, foot to the floor, super sensitive hands trying to feel every ounce of feedback to gauge grip level, LOVE it :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Bollocks. A delay at one of our sub-contractors means I won't be able to make this trip :-( Here's hoping I can reschedule my geordie express crossing for FF instead.

I hope you all have a good time - Spa is epic and I am very pissed off at missing it.

Cheers,
Robin

i was on R888's and had no problems in all but the deepest puddles, at which point they closed the track anyway.

Stu, go with the stickies assuming they have a decent level of tread.

Well obviously.

Aha, Stu, Neil has a "wet line" round Spa...think he pinched it from the F1 boys...do your homework on that before you go, then 8)
