What a cheesy advert. But it's also confusing... Starts off with "experience the Evora", "book a test drive", blah, blah, etc. But then closes with "test drives not available that weekend". Huh?!? :? :scratch

Don't remember Graeme being described as "intense, rewarding and precise"

Mmhh - experience the finely tuned suspension - but you can't drive it. Not the best sales pitch going is it :?

Graeme was the marketing guru at JM Group before he landed the Lotus Sales role, IIRC. He writes quite well, I always thought ;-) Hard act to follow, therefore...

So, you go to MMC, get half-canned, then make plans to come back when sober & drive the fecker.

Poor show.

Advert is a mess

Good luck to the guy

This flyer is clearly not how to impress the target market

You reading this Brandon? I would be shocked if he isn't!

Compared to you guys I'm a newbie to lotus and mmc and never met Graeme so can't compare, however....

I bought my exige from mmc a few weeks back and don't have a bad word to say about brandon, he's quiet and probably shy compared your average car salesman but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Seemed genuine and didn't try any bull and admitted if he didn't know the answer to a question.

Sure he'll settle in and by the sounds of it a few of you guys have Craig's ear so some constructive input to things like this ad may help.....

I thought the same when I met him at the RR/Bentley day, but then the reports from the guys that had been along to MMC did not read so well.

Why thank you kind sir  - I'm certainly missing the copywriting side of things, multiple powerpoint presentations are all I'm allowed down here...my mother's an English lecturer and she always made sure that I write propurly and speel my words right n that likesay

Let's just say it's not the kind of ecampaign I would've sent....Intense, Rewarding and Precise have never been applied to me either (well not all at once.... )....and I do agree that it seems to be missing a trick to have an open weekend without test drives. We always struggled with staff (me plus whoever I talked into working, or Rodger etc if he had some time!) but muddled through....Are folk expected to drive from ABZ for a chat, then back for a shot?

To be fair to my successor, he's a nice chap and has made a good impression with some of my customers, which I was very relieved to see. It's very tricky for me reading all this - after 11 years of being in that seat meself.....!

Cheers

It's just a learning curve (one hopes) and it's harder on Brandon (and many others providing services to SE people) in that there is a large public audience seeing a lot more of what goes on than otherwise would be the case.

I consider it all fair in the pursuit of the perfect market :thumbsup

Provided people stick to facts, of course...

Agreed it's a learning curve, and not blowing my own trumpet (much) it was a reasonably tough act to follow...more through product knowledge and market awareness than anything else - it took me years of learning (as much from customers as the factory) and it's unfair to expect such awareness after 2 months. All criticism is indeed valid, provided the facts are indeed stuck to - bear in mind I could only join up on here once I'd left, as I'd have got a little cross with some of the inaccuracies sometimes posted......!
