Shopping List

Post by Gareth » Sun Aug 20, 2006 4:20 pm

So my mind is made up that I'm going to keep the Elise...for now  .
Well a couple of reasons really....I'm wanting to put a mega extension on the house and the Exige S2 is for girls - can't find a S1 Exige ;) A couple of years with the 135R will bo good for value. I guess like the S160 it's price will bottom out. I will only lose money in the S2 Exige.

So, to keep me and the liz happy I have a wee shopping list. Where's the best place to buy the following:

Disks - think I'm just going to get Stu to put a groove on some plain disks although wonder if I should buy the Lotus Sport ones as fitted. According to Falkland my pads are not long off needing changed too but I only changed them a couple of months ago. Said they were 'sticky' like the disks - guess the problem stems from my disk issues a few months ago.

Centre console: The plastic that surrounds the gear knob/handbrake. Mine is scratched and looking a little tired.

Sills covers: Again, looking worn

Going to refurb the alloys. Laquer is coming off. Powder coat. I had my S1 ones done in Aberdeen but the job wasn't 100% perfect.

Winter tyres: Going for some T1-Rs. Will refurb wheels while tyres are off.

Cheers
G

There is a place in CArnoustie that gets good reports for powder coating wheels, Coatex or something. Did a guys here and they are great. He chose eggshell black and they are a uniform satin black perfecty flawless.

Coatech for the wheels, 5 mins along the road from me, meant to be good.

For the centre console, you could pimp it up and get it retrimmed by Lotus in Alcantara or maybe just get it painted?

Gareth,

I'll be sending my centre consol & sill covers to the factory for a retrim over the winter.

Some nice carbon leather I think.
