Hi

Lovely night for it and looked like you'd found a nice spot to stop.

Cheers

This was me. Spur of the moment decision to head out for a bbq with the other half.
Cracking night for a drive and the roads were surprisingly quiet.

Nice idea.

I was making the most of the wife being away for the weekend so did a loop up to Crianlarich, across to Callendar for a chippy then home over the Duke's Pass. Wasn't held up much at all, which was brilliant.

Did you guys drive the stretch from Kilmahog to the bottom of the pass...?

I went across the other day for the first time in years and was absolutely appalled by the state of the road – worst road I've driven (in a car I care about) in ages. Was impossible to avoid every hole, it's so broken in places – gladly my alloys don't seem to have been damaged, but there are a few tell-tale scuffs on the tyre sidewalls. It was so unpleasant that I was absolutely furious by the time I got to the bottom of the pass. An angry, fast drive over the pass... not really what I had in mind at all :(

Certainly won't be taking that road again until I know for sure it's been resurfaced (whenever that might be).

Quite surprised to read about people apparently having a pleasant drive up there...!
