A good hour or so of dry track before the rain came and ruined my fun.
Too worried about stacking it to push in the wet.
Nervy drive home in the monsoon weather.

Three bloody Scam Vans on the way home, everyone placed where they could get the most hits and nothing to do with safety.

Really developing a hate attitude towards them, along with the occupants if that is what gives them job satisfaction.

ps I was within the speed limit each time so no success for them there.

Finally, someone takes a photo of me on track!

Aye, great first hour, but I'm so rusty - really showed when it got wet (the car flattered me in the dry). Thought it would be an idea to get ronnie to swap out my bald rears, but it took so long that the session was over by the time he finished. Hey ho - had a good couple of hours on track and some good chat too.

Oh and Alan - cheers for the shotty of the frog - great car, way better than I was today...

Cheers to John for another great day. Etiquette was superb - never once got baulked by someone slower, or monstered by someone quicker, great stuff.

It was good catching up with you guys today. However it was hard to catch up with all of you. As most of you were on track, or already in a deep conversation with other SErs.
Thanks for the passenger laps, in Gareths 340R, Dominics S1 135, and Lewis in the VX220 Turbo. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Great morning in the dry, I ducked off early (while my rears were still just about legal) after 2 wet sessions - very slippy out there !!

Have some videos uploading to Youtube.

Glad we managed to get a couple of hours dry track, unfortunately my exhaust fell off again, twice. I'll get round to fixing it properly one day, cheers to Scott for lending a hand giving it a shoogle and all the others who took the piss.

Great SE turnout with the usual banter and track etiquette. See some of you next weekend :thumbsup

How was the MX5 on track Ed? I know it's not a Lotus but did she live up to your expectations and how did your new pads perform? She fit for Frollic bud?

Sorry for those I couldn't take out once the rain started. Too much fun dry runs at KH and Kames meant no treads left on the tyres (especially the fronts) which made the SLR almost impossible to turn in at any reasonable knots :( Maybe the next time....

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Just to clarify that's Mckean driving....spinning the Frog :damnfunny John managed to get a great pic of this with me congratulating him, i'm sure he will post them up soon enough.

Thanks to everyone for a great day. Good to get the car out on a dry track, but sadly the rain followed us down from Aberdeen. The Caterham is just insane in the dry with what seemed like infinite grip, still quick in the wet just more sideways....

I was disappointed with Jen's first time out on track, we somehow missed the warm up laps (My fault) and ended up in the start of the session with 20 or so very eager cars. I don't think anyone released it was her and at one point she had to stop on the straight as no one would let her back in. Keep your chin up Jen, just need to wait for the track to clear next time. It really isn't always like that :thumbsup

Big thanks to tut and Dominic for the pax today, sorry I wasn't able to return the favour Dominic. You seemed to be very much in demand for pax rides.

Hope I didn't get in anyones way!

nice to see a lot of you guys again, its been a while. I hadnt planned on popping up, but when i saw the weather, thought i'd head over for a chat. Lunch was great banter too, lots of chat about frolic aswell just to get people in the mood.

Thanks to Alan for the shot of the toxic frog. He made me promise not to break it, but he didnt say anything about not spinning it at the hairpin  I think it was a very popular spin, judging by the clapping and pisstaking  In my defence, my visor had steamed up on one side, it was only my second lap, i was going easy on the car so took it in 3rd rather than 2nd, i had a wet arm from the spray, and i'm also out of practise, plus various other (ex)racing driver excuses

I'm sure John will put up the full sequence once he's sorted through them :thumbsup

LOL, I have it on camera....
She's indicating right....I'm approaching around 100mph....Jen indicates left to get back in line but spots me. I ease off and Jen moves back to the right letting me past.
There was a few of us there though. Jen was probably in the safest part of the track.

I was in that train - it did look like it was a bit messy and I felt for anyone expecting a gentle warm-up...I think all the caterhams missed the warm-up as I came back in from the third session they were all lined up ready to go....they burbled something on the tannoy but no way I could hear it through the helmet!

Sorry it worked out like that :(

I snuck into this photo - will add it to my collection - ta!
