Corrected for accuracy and gutted I missed it :damnfunny (did something similar in the gt3 at the motorshow  )

Loved the pic of Mr Hay I presume off in the mazda in the gravel and Benny looking at him while turning in the opposite direction at the hairpin :damnfunny

Another fun session on track; thanks to John for organizing. Not a Loti driver, but here's a few in-car videos showing the changing weather from dry :D to damp :? to wet :( I cut the clips to ones with traffic as I guess no-one wants to see laps on an empty track.
The first one is in the dry and includes the MX5, Elises, Honda, Race Mini [roadb;pck],and Caterhams
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhYT9RqxIRQ

Starting to rain but still decent grip with Clio, Elises, Scoob, MX5, Ferrari, Exige, Caterhams, 340R
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-WEhWO-1aU

Getting damper now with Caterhams, Elises, Mini (type R mid-engined), Honda, Scoob (goes cross-country at Clarks), 340R. And Tut talking the BIG kerbs at McIntyres and the Chicane
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0buUHjGXw9Y

And now we’re talking wet and slidey for the brave or foolhardy. Fun at the hairpin and breaking traction all over the place, but with assorted Elises, MX5, Scoob, Scoobywagon roadblock, Mini (type R mid-engined),

I was disappointed with Jen's first time out on track, we somehow missed the warm up laps (My fault) and ended up in the start of the session with 20 or so very eager cars. I don't think anyone released it was her and at one point she had to stop on the straight as no one would let her back in. Keep your chin up Jen, just need to wait for the track to clear next time. It really isn't always like that :thumbsup

Alan
LOL, I have it on camera....
She's indicating right....I'm approaching around 100mph....Jen indicates left to get back in line but spots me. I ease off and Jen moves back to the right letting me past.
There was a few of us there though. Jen was probably in the safest part of the track.
You know what it's like when the track is first opened, everyone wants a shot. Probably the worst time she could have taken to the track, so feel quite bad. She was actually doing really well, driving at her own pace and on the right line. She just couldn't get a minutes peace from you lot.

Were going to pick a 2hr evening session, and i'm not going to drive. Hopefully she hasn't been put off.

Alan

P.S If you don't mind can you send me that video, shame it started to rain but would still like a look.

I've uploaded some photos to my gallery here: http://www.flatoutphotography.com/gallery3/KH110611

Too tired to link any into the thread here, but I'm sure you can help me out. Just click on the URL bit at the bottom of each photo, copy, then paste into a reply :)

Yeah bad timing, I was in the train of traffic but realised it was Jen and backed off to give you a wee bit of room. Dont let it put you off it gets a lot easier.

Managed to miss the Ape spinning, funny he didnt mention that.

Sorry if I wasn't very talkative at the end, was pissed off with the exhaust which was entirely my own fault for not fixing it properly prior to the event.

Hey Alan. Clare had a similar first taste of track life.

Frolic though is a really good time for jen to get out and play without the frenzy that normally accompanies the kh days. I'm sure you'll have a good crew on the trip to help also :thumbsup

Jen, don't be disheartened. Clare ended up leading sighting laps that people sorted overtaking on :damnfunny   :damnfunny

Post frolic we'll have you back in amongst sidc wondering what all the fuss was about

Thanks to everybody for all the passenger laps. Skye and her mum throughly enjoyed their first time out on track. We then went on to have a great time on the Quad bikes up at Dunkeld afterwards. The rain certainly didn't stop our enjoyment today.

Tried out a new Sigma 70-300mm lens today. Quite pleased with the results for a £130 lens.

Ed, was the white car your MX5? You were in front of me when you went straight on at the Hairpin.

Great tyre tracks, presume that you locked up.

Think that may have been Dave "the" Hay. Clearly too much power for him

A big thanks again to John for organising this. I had a great day, enjoyed the changing conditions. Only really had one moment where I was not sure if I'd make it on the inside of the cones at McIntyres, so opted to take to the gravel round the back of them. :damnfunny

Oh, and just for Neil & Alan: Image

Alan, cutting your footage now. May take a while since I'm unfamiliar with the software and I shot in HD (huge file size). My upload speed is terrible too probably hence why my vid is not great. Sound is out of sync with footage.

I have to thank John as well, I had a great day and the driving standards were impeccable.

It was my first time out in a FWD so took a bit of recalibrating and I know I held up Mass for a couple of corners when I was out with Rory, sorry about that chap :(

Talking of Rory he was a top chap, really helped me with get to grips with the car and made a huge improvement with my braking.

Finally, as always, thanks to Mass for the pax laps.

I went out with Dave straight after in the Scud and I have to say the Scud wins on sound but for entertainment value you get the prize Mass ;)

Looking forward to the next one.

-Mark.
