My old granny used a Brillo pad on hers once, it got all the bugs off ( and a fair bit of the paint!) My dad started washing her car once a week after that!

I've used Meguiars gold class bug and tar remover before! That did the trick!

Wet and leave for 5 minutes then use a damp towel to wipe off. Even after a full day riding with bugs welded to my crash helmet, leaving a damp towel over the bugs for 5 minutes got them off no problem.

As above, wet them and leave them to soak/soften.

If they're really stubborn then Bug Squash will sort them out with ease: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... quash.html

Whatever you do, don't scrub at them as it'll mar the paint.

Wondering what material to use on the Venture Shield/Armorfend? Just washed the Evora after my 2,000 mile continental trip and can still see bug stains. Tried the R222 and that did not get the splats out, will the bugsquash do the trick?

Cheers guys.

Van is normally washed once a month with a pressure washer, snow foamed the washed obviously. Think the problem is that it is about 4000 miles of bugs which have been hit at motorway speeds and then been left to bake on.

Will try the Bug Squash :thumbsup

If it's deep, maybe etched bug remains, then you'll need to clay first then maybe use a very, very mild polish to lift the residue/etching.

if you have any photos that'd be great
