Like I say, very original - engine was rebuilt prior to me buying it - I have a receipt for £1800!!! For an A series! This is one of the original 850cc versions with the non-remote (magic wand) gearshift.
All new carpets, woodwork in good nick and I've just revarnished it - seats need a little attention round the edges, but they are by no means dead.
I have no idea what it's worth, just that I paid a grand for it a couple of years ago as an ongoing project, before overhauling the brakes and doing the tidying above.
The restoration before I got it looks to be extensive - lots of new panels (inlcuding brand new sills) no appreciable rust and an inch of gleaming black undercoat. Footwells all totally solid - it's really a wee timewarp.
So, suggestions on who I should talk to about value, or I'd be happy to sell it to an SE'er. Needless to say, I'm hoping for a multiple of the figure I paid for it, as these are rare we beggars and I bought it from someone who didn't really know about it (was given it in lieu of a debt)
Piccies will follow (the minute it's dry)
Stock pic of a red one, so you know what the hell I'm on about
