At £52k you'd need to be *very* committed, but yet could find yourself in a belter of a mini-supercar perhaps.

Not sure what the list price was, but RGB Exiges seemed to be getting flogged off by the dealers at under 40K last year. I am hoping the V6 will help RGBs down towards the 30k mark by next spring when I might be buying I could see this new car selling reasonably well at 52k. If it lives up to its billing there will be nothing this side of a GT3 RS to touch it as a hardcore but usable road and track car.

Then they are missing a trick, why not sell addition "race" parts. If somone is spending that kind of money on a toy you should be able to squeeze out more cash wish shiny carbon bits etc. And a lower headline figure will get it pitched at cars at the lower end of the scale which it should destroy at Dunslfold

I suspect that Lotus isn't too concerned with the domestic market so what we think will be largely irrelevant to them.

Am I right in thinking that 20% VAT is payable on new cars? If so, it will look decidedly cheaper in other more affluent corners of the World.

I notice S2 exige prices have firmed up and I suspect that they will perhaps plateau around the £24k mark for an S which will seem like good value compared to 52k £/$/€ and even better compared to £70k. Buy your S2 exige S now whilst they are good value.

Sadly, Sanjoy, I think it's going to be nearer 1100. Current Exiges are ~900 I think. Shall we have a wee sweepie
