Thinfourth's rollcage is padded which is needed for me on the track (and I sit on the floor, no seat).
Even more of an issue on the road/autotesting/Alford where it was my head rattling. ;)

Erm, anybody missing the point here?

This is Gordon's car! He's actually having to sell :(

Bloody disgrace that a guy with the speed to set pole and get class wins in his first two races a) can't get sponsorship and b) is arsed about so much by the organisers he's too sickened to continue....

sh*t.

Well we ain't got enough cash to bank roll him and yes most if not all racers at this level are self funded. We can only offer our services which we all did.

Sadly the scottish racing lot are more open to cheque book racing then single class racing. I haven't got the funds to take the banana racing. Which might help out for numbers for his class.

If he wants to go racing then maybe legends might be the way forward but i know nothing about them.

All we can do at this point is to help him get the best price and a quick sale.

Either that or we get our collective butts together and get the SE race series going

I did realise it was Gordon's car but didn't mean to come across unconcerned.
Does sponsorship exist at this level? Companies are feeling it tight today and I would have thought most drivers would have to be self-funded?
Likewise and I've spoken to Gordon offline about this.
Sadly I can't buy it (ideal spec). Best we can do is help with the sale.

Didn't mean it to sound like I was having a go

I was just surprised and shocked, as it's the first we've heard of him selling up. Shame for the guy. :(

Agree, it's all we can do now to help him get shot and get on with his life...

he mentioned a while back that the guy he bought it from had offered to buy it back at the same price, so he wont go without. but it is a shame.

Anybody worried about beiing to lanky for the Caterham shouldn't......you can get a high cage as Ian Cowie has on the red car with the nancy boy white stripes.

It takes a special kind of masocist to stick out motor racing for any length of time :?

The SMRC are not a bad lot really, Scotland seems too small to run a lot of championships and only going to what is probably the worst circuit in the UK doesn't help.........or maybe that is Pembrey....or Angelsey.....Wales anyway :D

Malcolm
BTW I drove that RSA and it is the fastest one I have ever driven...so someone buy it.

Malcolm,

Did Gordon ever speak to you - I was talking to him a week or so ago when he was still considering having a go and suggesed that he get in touch with you for some pointers.

The annoying thing is the guy's talented.
