A fellow joined us at KH last year with a maroon Mini featuring Type R engine and rear drive. Interior noise levels were H&S threatening however it really could go and as Robin says there, it's fabulous to see a "real mini" being used in anger, whatever is under the skin!

I am sure we'll have threads like this for S1s in 5 or 10 years too :-)

Great work. Used Iain a LOT when my car was running (for mechanical bits rather than body work) I'm slightly ashamed that my Mini has lived outside and not moved for 2 or 3 years now :(
I don't think it even runs now..

Shell now in paint (thank's to Iain as always, he had a bitch of a job getting the correct shade) and subframes complete. Guess what I'll be doing this winter !! :lol:

Truly fabulous! OK so that's after a few whiskies but the fact remains, restoration of a true classic can't go un-noticed :-)
