Absolutely Fabulous.

I was vaguely aware of some bod on Radio Scotland this morning talking about this. I thought he was complaining about farmers digging up the roads with their dodgy snowploughs, but maybe he was actually the nice man from the council who helped get them the shiny new ones instead

I still like that principle from the States (think Robin mentioned it last year?) where each neighbourhood has its own plough and they take it in turns to deploy it. Can you imagine the scramble to get a shotty the first time there's a dusting, LOL!

Did I not hear / read somewhere that they were trying to introduce a Snow Champion for each street with a snow shovel and grit ?

Aye but Chris, the Kway is always one of the 1st roads to get cleared

Roughly where is you are again? And does your drive head onto it? (ISTR between mid-craigie & forfar rd circles?)

I suspect that it'll be cleared right onto the end of my driveway though

I've not fitted the winter wheels yet, but the weather is forecast to be 2-3deg next week, so looks like the time has come.

Mine will be going on tonight (after the locking wheel nut debacle delayed play at the weekend - but hey its been warm anyway )

Put the winters on the BMW about 3 weeks ago but that was really just because the summer tyres were more like slicks.......

Winters will be going on the Octavia soon-ish, think I may get a chance next Wednesday.
