Trip to the Morgan factory.

Post by jj » Tue Dec 06, 2011 10:54 pm

Had a nice trip for a Tuesday today to the Morgan factory. Did not take that many pics on phone but thought I would share what I did snap.

A friends Dad is mates with the MD so hooked this trip up for us. It was really interesting to see how they put them together, and how they are made- even the new £100k+ aeromax are still very much crafted.

Started off at my mates Dads place where the guy came to meet us with the three wheeler. Then onto local pub for lunch where we met his wife (who had a seriously cute spaniel puppy). His wife is the daughter of Peter Morgan. Also chatted to her brother who is Charles Morgan and current boss of the company which was interesting.

Pics below. The flat grey aeromax was absolutely tremendous. They have taken over 850 orders for the 3 wheeler so far. Saw lines of them in build, ready to go all over the world.

Fantastic! I love the recent Morgans. It's so good to see a British sports car manufacturer thriving. Thanks for posting! :thumbsup

They have tied up I think as a PR stunt - Superdry have made some modern leather jackets and other stuff that was for sale in the shop to tie in with the 3 wheeler.

The new (last month) Roadster is awesome. They were also saying they are looking at putting in the BMW twin turbo 3 litre into these

Ooh, just noticed they have the Ford 3.7 V6 so I'm guessing it's the Mustang mill?

Always thought it was the 3.0 from the old Mondeo...
