Not got Office 2011, way older version.

I agree with Robin re free office type packages but some of the people I deal with insist on MS Office docs. (public sector, where it is our money they are spending)

The free ones can save in Microsoft format, including the latest .docx stuff.

As Robin says, Open Office comes installed on the Mac, and will do most of what M/S Office does for free, and is also compatible.

Both Open Office and Star Office are free downloads for the Mac and the PC.

As long as it has got the xls or xlsx file extension I would get away with using it.

I got an iPad2 a month or so ago. I love it. The TV apps are a must have especially if you have access to Sky. Anytime+ on Sky Go is awesome. Library of 500 films.

Not used iCloud, have no use for it really or for office apps I can't see me using the iPad for documents I'd rather roll my chair up to a decent keyboard. Browsing, Tv watching, some gaming, musical tinkering the mobile pod app from Line6 is cracking with a leccy guitar.

Apple and I-Tunes were the main reasons we chose the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 over the I-Pad . Struggle enough with my I-Pod so wanted to save myself any further grief :) We only really use it for web browsing (you tube etc), i-player, kids games plus we take it on holiday and it's a great piece of kit :thumbsup
