Shell V-Power offer -14/2 only

Shell are offering 5p per litre off V-Power tomorrow ( 14th Feb) for one day only - 'treat you car' promotion for Valentines Day.

If Shells claim that V-Power gives you better mpg and pollutes less then why is the technology not being used/licensed as default across all manufacturers and do away with non-V Power versions. Mutliply the reported benefits by 30 million cars and that's a serious benefit to everyone except the Oil companies.

Ian used V-Power in the Audi TT until I told him he was wasting his money, but when he went onto 95 he was definitely getting less miles to a tankful.

I use 95 on the road in N3, but 100 or as close to on track, as the Honda JDM was mapped on that in its own Country.

I can't really comment on MPG, but as far as performance is concerned: I've had three turbocharged petrol cars and V-Power made a palpable difference to the performance of each (smoother, torquier). I usually put V-Power into the Elise too, but I only notice a very small difference in that the engine feels/sounds a bit smoother...

Yup - had a quick glance at the list before I posted and it looks like all the local (central belt) stations are participating) :thumbsup

Even the one in Stirling that has been shut for 2 weeks so I would take that list with a pinch of salt :D
