Ed, my initial thoughts too when I saw it for the first time, but then it clicked... That's just the point, Lotus are selling this as an Exige and it is an evolution of the previous one. Start adding fancy interiors then it becomes and Evora.

Was asking Brandon about the GTE but no plans for UK launch as yet. Initial 200 orders are destined for overseas market so will have to wait a while to even see one. Like it in carbon

would have taken ages to completely re-engineer the interior within the same chassis constraints....time much better spent on the quite amazing new subframes...
BTW, the Exige Roadster is just fkin lovely. I've underestimated exactly how many people would want this - a slightly softer Exige with a proper factory-sanctioned soft-top, and simultaneously the fastest convertible we've ever made....let's just say it's proving a bit of a success on the stand....
