Yeah, I'm with Shug. Use a trackday to get familiar with the car limits in a safe environment. Play with tyre pressures/suspension settings and get some suitable wet/dry settings defined. Much more useful. :thumbsup

Test day can then useful for the specific track, starts and managing cold/warming tyres etc....

TD's it is then, a sprint event somewhere with run off's would be good but kames sounds a tricky one.

Just been trying to rig up a timing strut, other than sourcing a set of 1B tyres that's me pretty much there!

I'll be out too.

"Pipe and slippers" class (A7) in the old mean green money-munching machine(911)

As the engine transplant is still work in progress , it's likely Fintray will be first event.

Good luck to those at Doune

Cheers -JP

hi folks,

need to get my finger out here and get my MSA license b sorted  ...defo, missing the kames this weekend
yet Monklands are doing a fun night this sunday too, so may just get a chance to go round forestburn :D

clarkyboy...if you still have that timing strut, it would find a nice home with me (pm me)

i think ill have to pick and chose which events to do as funds allow

one question on doune on the 21-22 April.......is there an entre form for this event?? As i can not seem to find one on the site! or have i missed this too:cry:
read that its a national b event and the others at doune are mixed license A and B, right???

Doune entries closed on the 5th April. The first Doune weekend is essentially a B as it's only part of the Scottish championship - June & September are part of the British championship and have a separate B class.

If you have your licence and car all ready and want an entry to Doune you could ask Billy Cater (Caterbl@aol.com) . . . you may be lucky - although there is a large entry for the next event. If you haven't already got your licence I'd guess you're too late to even try . . . To be clear you can enter all Doune events with a B licence, you'll just be in different classes from the A licence holders in the later events, but that doesn't really matter . . .
