Not heading to this but have done their track evenings before - very pleasant events run by real enthusiasts.

okay- that was epic,

Debrief

dry and empty track :thumbsup perfect. car held up just nice.
The best section (sector 1 maybe) was duffers dip, McIntyre’s, butchers and the chicane: twisted:.
went at a pace i was happy with and concentrated on being smooth and progressive. Trying different lines into Taylors and Clarks.......McIntyre’s and Clark’s exits are interesting :).

im sure i can gain time in duffus dip……as I tend to be a bit tentative at the mo…..think I only managed to go quick once here.

keeping pace with some of the minis, so not too bad.

nice bit of graining on the r888s outer edge on both lefts......

car temp was 90 and holding……..just over half a tank(including commute)

the only concern was a noise under braking……..jamie thinks it’s the brakes as he has had the same in his exige. His synopsis is brake harder and it will go away lol

I leave you with a quote from Charles Dickens novel….Oliver Twist ……“please sir, can I have some more!”

Late turn in on both mcintyres and clarks help with the exit - turn in point for clarks is way after where you think it should be from the drivers seat. This makes the exits much easier. You can go really hot into Duffus, but remember you need to turn the car at the bottom of the hill and get it stopped up for Mcintyres - can have a big accident going in too hot and trying to gather it up as two other corners approach. Concentrate on Mcintyres and Clark plus the hairpin exit first - you'll gain much more time out of them than into Duffus. Clark and hairpin especially as speed gained exiting these is carried up the long straights that follow.

Good night last night, thanks to Kevin, Pete and Leigh for passenger laps in their Exiges :thumbsup

Leigh, there are a few areas where I think you can find time. I've always been a bit wary of going into Duffus too quick, but once the car is settled you can get back on it all the way down to McIntyres - the bottom of Duffus dip is where you'll feel the grip the most of any corner on the track. You were going well for your first time out though :thumbsup

Best advice would be to get booked up for SIDC and get out with one of the instructors, you'll be amazed the difference it'll make!
