Larini v 2bular

Post by Aldo » Mon May 07, 2012 8:50 am

Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new exhaust for my Exige S at the moment.

Currently have a Stage 3 fitted but the baffles are making a bid for freedom I think!

Anyway, having ready as many threads as I can find regarding the topic I was wondering if there were any further opinions on which system to go for.

Also, if there is anybody in the Aberdeen area who has either system and would be willing to let me have a listen that would be much appreciated. :thumbsup

cheers,
Al.

I'd look at the Eliseparts systems. Very well made and repackable too.

I had a Larini on my NA Exige. It sounded fantastic, but got steadily louder as the innards disintegrated. It was replaced under warranty, but the second one was going the same way by the time I sold the car. I would definitely go for a repackable one like Eliseparts.

Hangar111 Signature on my 111R.

Great sound, just right volume wise. It's developing a nice burble on overrun after 1000miles :)

Good price too :)

thanks for the feedback guys! :thumbsup

I'm concious that pretty much whatever I go for is going to be quieter than the Stage 3 which is fine, it is loud!!

I don't however want to go too quiet or lose my pops and bangs on over run. At low revs when riding the torque the Stage 3 is just a noise, so I'm looking for something with character throughout the rev range if possible. Might even be able to hear the supercharger whine with the next system!

Neil, you must work just next me, I see your car a fair bit. I park mine underground so you've probably not spotted me. When would suit as i'd be keen to hear what your 2bular sounds like! I'll drop you a PM with my number.

cheers,
Al.
