Unremarkable cars coming up, but unusual to me anyway!

Spied one of those baseball cap wearing Mini coupes heading towards Edinburgh, didn't realise they were out, never seen any around Dundee. Looked... well like a MINI that had a skip dropped on the roof really. Of course in 12 months time it won't be an unusual spot at all since every 5th house will have one!

Oh and last week I saw a silver Aston Rapide leaving Tesco Kingsway in Dundee, then later that day passed the burgandy Skoda Rapide I used to see every morning. would love to see them together ;)

Spotted something I never thought I'd see today; a Maserati Khasmin :love 8) on Byres road in a shade of metallic mud.

Then spotted a 997 GT3 Rs in White with red graphics on Great Western road later on.

Quite a good long-weekend for me with some unusual spots. Couple of my highlights were:
Morris Minor
Couple of old Cortina's
Original For Transit camper van (similar to this:

Toyota Celica GT-4 (who gave me a "nice car" when filling up the Evora at the Shell)

I spotted a Jag XK150 in Glencoe at the weekend; bright red, roof down, looked the business 8)

Also saw a Maclaren MP4 12c HPinkjet2000 (whatever it's called) just north of Glasgow a few weeks ago. It looked great to see it in the flesh. 8) 8) 8)

Clocked a Vauxhall Calibra the other day in pretty good nick. Always remember when the 4x4 Turbo version came out with circa 200bhp and a 150mph top speed :D

We had a black Calibra 2.0 16V back in the day. Complete lemon of a car which was never out of the Vauxhall garage (new gearbox, sump, suspension and engine faults). Maybe it was the way I drove it when I was younger :)

Colleague of mine had the turbo which was a complete weapon but the handling was definitely not in keeping with the performance.

I knew of someone at the time who had a turbo super chipped to give a top speed (apparently) of 170+ mph..... not sure how true that was, but on reflection, anything near that speed in a chavalier in a fancy frock must have been "interesting"

Advanced spot, my mother-in-law takes delivery of her 911 (991) Carrera S next week with a few tasty options ticked. Here's hoping she doesn't like it and ends up selling it to me at a major discount in a year or 2 :thumbsup
