Re: TT 2012 Not Long Now
Hi guys, quick questions re Friday. Not sure If it has been posted (apologies if it is).... I will be heading from work up to FW in the afternoon, if KH track is till 2 then I think I will miss most if not all as I won't be leaving Edinburgh till around 4 at the earliest sadly. What time is dinner likely to be so I have something to aim for. I know we will all be arriving at different times, but a rough idea would be grand.
Mike, did you get enough for the t-shirts btw?
Roll on Friday......

Re: TT 2012 Not Long Now
If anyone going from Edinburgh or near by would like to join SteveJB and I for a bacon roll before we go up to knockhill drop me a PM, all welcome. Meeting at 7.45 at mine with a view to leave as a group to get to Knock for 9am. My house is just off Queensferry Road on the way out of town to the bridge so handy for a quick exit in the morning.
Looking forward to it and keeping fingers crossed for roof off weather!

Re: TT 2012 Not Long Now
I have the weekend routes in Autoroute .axe format, but I doubt if anybody uses this now. Would the best bet be to put them into Google format, and I believe they can also be converted to .itn to be loaded onto SatNavs?
Personally I do not think you can beat a map, but I suppose GPS can be useful as long as you do not rely on it to take you on the route that you actually want as opposed to what it thinks you want.
I am leaving Applecross off as I think it just takes up too much time, especially stopping there for lunch, but we drive right past the bottom so it is there for anybody that would like to include it. It can be a great drive around the loop if the road is clear, but completely spoilt if you can not get a clear run up. However there is a tut technique to get around this.
If anybody would like to take on converting the Autoroute version into what everybody can use, then that would be a help, and suggestions for amendments could then be added if you have knowledge of better roads.
Cheers

I hope everyone has a blast, that's me heading to Egypt. Even though I missed my redeye flight this morning and because there is only 1 crew change a week I thought I might just of made it to TT. This would of left one very unhappy ROV guy stuck on the boat for another week though. Anyway, enjoy everyone, jealous, yeah just a wee bit..
If it aint broke, dont fix it....
