Echo all the above, what I made of it was fantastic. Thanks, Tut, Craig, Mike and all else involved!

Even the boring route home today ended up entertaining.

The McLaren MP4-12C that I clued up with yesterday at Applecross, and drove with for the next two hours on his way to Durness.

He had picked the car up from McLarens HQ on Friday and promptly set out to drive around Scotland, he just mailed me the photo and said that he clocked 1500 miles. Great run and needless to say he drove it like he had stole it, on all the single tracks and main roads as well. He could not reach his 205 top speed, so was able to stay with him and enjoy the sight and sound. However he was happy to hear that I had a S/C Honda in the back, though he said my tyres were trying to kill me, if it had been a standard Elise he said that he would have taken the car back. :D He had Pirellis on as well, P0 Corsas.

He had an RS4 before it, but he was doing his accounts and was surprised to find that he had £200K in his savings account, did not want Italian, loved McLaren's philosophy, so went and bought one. Not bothered what mileage he puts on it, so is going to give me a call when he comes up again. He has also been promised a drive in the new P13 when it comes out, the replacement for the F1, albeit twenty years later. Great bloke and as down to earth as you could get.

Definately a different mclaren to the one we saw tut. What are the chances of them being too out to play in the highlands? Amazing sound off it too :thumbsup

Our run home would have been better if we didn't have a wee mini attracting attention
Focus ST estate, i3s and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

We had a fantastic weekend. Thanks to all.

Tut you should have gone in front of the Mclaren to avoid N3 getting stone chipped. :-)

The M6 was in a mess southbound yesterday too, I can testify :-(

Glad you all had fun at TT12!

Just wanted to add my thanks to Mike, Craig and Tut for organising another great weekend!

What a hoot we had on Fri in the frog, in the pouring rain!! We were soaked to the bone! When we got to the rivers at the hairpin, it was like a tidal wave going over us! It's hard to keep a smile off your face after being in that car though! It is simply awesome.

We went home after KH to get sorted for Boyndie the next day. I was supposed to be up at 5.30 to leave at 6.30 but that wasn't happening so I had a wee long lie then drove up in the mini to see Alan. I missed his first practice but caught the rest, including his class win! :thumbsup There was also another SLR there which was really cool to see.

We got home on the Sat at around 5, had a power nap and got changed for Graeme and Victoria picking us up to go to Craig's. Thanks for the lift guys! What a great night too, full of laughter and great banter. Gutted we had to leave at 2am..... But we had to get back as we were up early again for the Sunday sprint. Thanks for the lift Paula!

Up again at 6.30, and on the road by 7, arrived at a very cold, wet and miserable Boyndie at 8. The track was really slippy and I got soaked again so heat up in the mini. It was great. I got to borrow Mikes camera so will post up my pics today. The track dried out as the day went on and it got a bit brighter. Alan got another class win so we stayed until the awards, then went home, and straight to bed!

Up early again this morning as I had to take my courtesy mini back and pick up my own one after its Mot, so still tired but I now have 7 weeks to recover! :cheers

Thanks again guys for organising and it was great to catch up with my fabby SE friends! Hopefully see you all very soon!

Jen

Further to my post above (now I am not quite so shattered  ), just wanted to say thanks again, and to say thanks to those I was running with on the road. We had a good wee squad for the road run. :drive The weather was fairly kind to us, well, on the Saturday anyway. I actually quite enjoyed the wet at KH on the Friday.

It was good to spend more time and get to know people better.

I also missed quite a few people over the weekend; kept seeing people I hoped to have a blether with, but never quite caught up with them!... next time!! :thumbsup

I hope everyone got home safely and in one piece,... there were some fairly heavy downpours after the lunch stop.

Tut, did you get things sorted okay with the hotel at Breamar for all those who did not make it along?
