Hi all,
I'm in need of some help (again)
From what i can see i need to remove the front clam to access the chassis mounting point. Has anyone managed to change the front brakelines without removing the front clam?
Cheers,

Replacing front brakelines on S2 Exige
Re: Replacing front brakelines on S2 Exige
I changed the brake lines on my elise but it was a pain in the ass. No room at all. Definately faster though than to remove the front clam. It is frustrating but can be done. At least at an elise. Good luck.
Re: Replacing front brakelines on S2 Exige
Hi Brian,
I can only go on my expirience and it was a definite NO with my Exige. I started by trying the remove the plastic arches to gain acces, but was restricted on the O/S by the ABS controller mounted to the arch. A lot of fiddling and scraped arms, you can get to the bolts, but this only serves to further frustrate the budding mechanic trying to get a spanner around the back of the chassis mount (I'm going to invent a rubber spanner just for this??).. Removing the top covers, you meet the servo and res. and unless you have an arm the size of a 4 year old's then it seemed to be another Lotus DIY cul-de-sac!
The light at the end of the tunnel was of course...once I'd taken all the bits off above, I was more than half way to taking the front clam off anyway....(which I should have done when the front clam was off after the repair...doh)
If you need a hand one evening to lift / replace the clam, i'd be more than happy to pop over from Bellshill after work.
Good luck with it.

Cheers guys. I've been doing my best to avoid this but i I'll just have to attempt the removal of the front clam and just be done with it.
