I need a rant

Put my car into MMC for its C service and MOT last Wednesday evening and I am still currently without a car.
I had asked them to check my floor for corrosion and was told that a car the age of mine would have been checked already but agreed to have a look. Well I get a phone call the next day to say I need a new flexi for my exhaust and by the way your floor is foocked. So I gave them a call almost every day to see if my car was ready for collection to be told it should be tomorrow, well last night I phoned and was told it has just failed its MOT on emissions so I am currently waiting to find out why

My car failed it's emissions there as well.
I rebooked it in Aberdeen. Passed.

Same thing happened with my old SI last November - failed on emissions - they said I needed a full new exhaust and cat - cost a staggering £1,600 fitted

Managed to get a cat and flexi from Geary at Elise parts and all fitted for £500 - a mere saving of £1,100. The rear silencer was OK and idint need replaced

Get a quote before you let them do anything - i think they charge £600 for a Cat - £200 from Elise Parts

bottle of injector cleaner into half a tank, run for 20mins and retest.....

Phone Fife Auto Centre Glenrothes. They have a large selection of stuff that works. Got my old Audi through no problem.

My cat is almost brand new as it sits in a garage drawer all year so hopefully they wont be stupid enought to tell me its shagged, plus the car has only covered 18K
