Hamilton move.
Re: Hamilton move.
That applied to McLaren Bob, Ron Dennis has been supporting him since he was twelve, so there is a lot of loyalty owed there.
However now he is swapping a winning car for a losing car, plus he and Button are supposed to be getting on great. I think that he is a great driver and also a fighter, but I can not see any other reason for a move like this other than money.

And like Plato gets driven into a lot.
Kimi was always my fave. That he's in a Lotus makes it even better.
I was like a kid when I saw he was in "our" garage at Spa

Absolutely concur, then I may give him the respect he might be due. (I am sure he would like it!)Corranga wrote: Also, if he can take a different team to a championship win, it shows he actually does have the skill, and can adapt.

Re: Hamilton move.
Glad to see everyone seems to have similar feelings re LH.
I think he behaved like a child and I really hope someone in McL gave him a talking to. At 27 he does not get away with 'oh he is young' imagine leaking confidential info at work - I think you would find you would be out of a job....
Quite interesting that on Martin B's grid walk on Sunday Sam Michael was showing Martin Whitmarsh Twitter on the blackberry......

Hamilton move.
I've gone off him again. Only driver who didn't stick his head out the garage to sign a few hats today. Git.

Re: Hamilton move.
I think Lewis is good entertainment, it must be remembered he is young and he's not doing anything wrong by wanting to be paid well in a tax efficient manner.
I saw him interviewed and he was asked about the best thing about being an F1 driver and he jokingly said "the chicks". I'm sure that's partly true and definitely what I'd be thinking too! Also the fact he can go out and so donuts in an SLR just for a laugh in Australia was awesome, it would have been cool to see that in the nanny state.
Just my thoughts but it would be a boring world if we all had the same favorites........Incidentally, he's my second fav character in F1 after Jenson's Mrs.

Re: Hamilton move.
I just find him to be a petulant wee twirp. Especially after sticking the teams confidential data logs on twitter. Those of you who work for large companies, can you imagine the trouble you would get into for publishing the companies secrets?
I know a couple of lads who work for McLaren and they say that Jenson will wander about the factory and speak to anyone, Lewis wanders around with his shades on (indoors) with his entourage and completely blanks everyone.
Lewis seems to be more interested in the financial and fame side of things. He should be interested in being in the fastest car possible. Although, Brawn's record speaks for itself. His pussycat doll always plays up to the camera every time it is on her dish. Would she be with him if he was the fastest milkman in the west?,
I used to be a big fan of Lewis but his attitude has just worn thin over the last couple of years.
Bring on Button and DeResta

Re: Hamilton move.
i also used to sing his praises.....especially places like china last season, were his overtaking was fab...the best around.....however, this season i have been totally blown back buy his behaviour and image..
what put the icing on the cake was when he had a puncher and then said on the radio ....i think we should retire. I just couldn’t believe what I was hearing….
Is that the attitude of a great racer? No I don’t think so……I hope he got a grilling from his bosses……
Maybe im wrong but, lewis as I remember was strongly encouraged and helped by his adoring farther from a very early age, maybe a bit spoilt and thing came easy as they say…..
Because of this you could say that it wasn’t initially lewis desire and wishes to become a race driver who knows…..
Im a bit of a believer that there has to be a burning passion and drive to become truly great in a sport…..an intensity to win…like senna had……also, as a race driver you need to have a strong understanding in what you want and how to get it from setting up the car….alonso, kimi, schm..etc…
It this I think lewis lacks, plus he’s had it too easy and dire I say it spoilt……what happened to the F1 drivers that has come from nothing crapping their way through the class to only dream of reaching the top?
I understand from stories that jenson’s dad would often just run out of money and have to beg borrow and steel, form one race to another……often jenson had to race on used tyres a few times…
