After a relatively successful first season competing in the sprint and hillclimb championships in a Clio 182, I've decided to go for something a bit more dedicated for next year. So, just in time for winter, I've just bought the least practical car I've ever owned. It's an ex Academy race series Caterham Roadsport with a 1.6 Rover K Series engine.
It's what you might call basic, it's got 4 wheels, an engine and a roof and that's pretty much it - not even a heater

What it does have is everything I wanted for a competition car - full roll cage, Tillett seats, lowered drivers side floor and wide track front suspension.
With only 120ishbhp, it's not mega quick, but enough to have fun with, and it sounds really nice too. I've not had much chance to drive it yet, but took it for a quick run yesterday with the roof off and managed to get rained on

I'm hoping to get it out to a trackday before the end of the year to get a proper feel for it, but got a few minor issues to sort out first.
(Apologies for the poor quality picture)
As I'm a technical numpty, expect to see a few questions cropping up in the Technical section shortly...
