Or just pony up the £1.49 for a very good app, especially good for a v1 release!

Make sure you include a comments/feedback area, your users can then help with input and drive forward ideas for free which may further help promote the app.

Promoting an app is a very thankless task in a world of a squillion apps/review sites etc. Self promotion is excellent, but don't over do it at the risk of annoying/spamming people. You'll be all over it already i suspect, but I'd spend my time wisely working with the motoring press, the sort of thing EVO did for Manifold clothing in their Xmas gift pullout.

Downloaded it this afternoon and it does what it says on the tin
For what its worth I would have downloaded a trial version - maybe with 1 vehicle capacity and on the basis of what is there would happily have paid more for the full fat version thereafter.

I know its not much to pay for it initially but there is so much crap about that you can pay for a lot of stuff that you end up deleting So if I were you I would try to get a limited free download available and then charge more than you are for the full thing.
As others have said -its ideal where you have several vehicles so would be good for taxis, hire firms, garages and that kind of market.

C'mon guys. It is created and recommended by a fellow Lotus fan and appears to do what it says on the tin. Each of us would spend more by making up an excuse to go fill the lotus with petrol. Either that or search down the back of the sofa for coppers......£1.49 is NOT going to break the bank and if you have more than one car you can definaetly afford it, and no I am not on commission, although....

Dibs shotgun in the Evora when you get it (that is young un speak for all you old timers)

I have taken on board the comments about free, trial version, one car etc but a free app ain't putting an Evora on my driveway
Costs a bit to make an app and my app guy is on another project until he does the droid version. We will see how we get on but in the meantime get buying or ask me for a code

If users are using a free copy them you cannot leave a review on App Store by the way. We have a contact us area on the website for users to get in touch!

Just remember to use the app to set up/modify reminders. Anyone tried the maps yet? Get a buddy to get the app and give it a try! I'll see if I have anymore pics done in the photo editor too so you can see what you can do!

They're called gearheads in the states. Not sure if they know what petrol is.

Looks like a good app. Is there a limit on distance appart in the maps? May be a daft question.

I was going to do a gearhead version and a revhead version for Oz but too much effort really. With Top Gear on in these countries and the fact that both USA and Oz love love all things British I'll just have to reeducate them...tomato...tomato
I have a car mag editor in Canada looking at it for me as my sister works in his place. She helped with the artwork along with a mate of mine....everything being my ideas of course
Will be interesting to see what he says about it!

I think the map is limited to the earth but once Virgin get space travel moving we will think about more extensive maps for the Turbo version

While I'm speaking about maps....here is the FAQ on maps. I need to add that it will munch battery a bit so best plug on a car charger if oot and aboot....remember to leave the group when you are done or it may just keep speaking to the server without ya knowing. Great for taxi owner as client could have the app and see where the heck the taxi is lol...great to monitor multiple vehicles if you where like the taxi Godfather lol

Q: When would I use the maps part of the app?
A: This is a great part of the app. Here are just few examples…

Driving in a group such as during a car club run.

Heading to a wedding or something with friends in another car….you know the saying…’just follow me’….always ends up with losing one another…not any more!

Parents who want to keep track on their kids when they have borrowed the family car

If you break down and not sure where you are…maybe you could create a map group with the breakdown guy so he can find you easily?

Meeting a friend in a new city and you want to find one another easily with no directions required!!

Ok...wee test between myself and Haggiscatcher...map should update about every 90 seconds so you can get the idea!
