i think the other might have been me

i flashed at a silver s1 heading towards st andrews as i went through st michaels soooo jelous, couldn't fit my tent, sleeping bags, roll mats AND soft top in the boot so i had to drive about with the hard top on for a few days while i was staying in st andrews

You obviously didn't try very hard! You can easily fit a weeks worth of camping stuff for 2 including food into an Elise (s1 or s2).

Never been camping with the elise, but I keep my soft top behind the seats in the shelf where the cargo net is.
