I only had a quick look at the Mini but I do like its size. Will hopefully get my hands on it again for a play.
Your missus could buy the app for you on her Mini :thumbsup

Just bought it today, couldn't until recently as I wasn't on IOS6.
Will put up a review once I've played about with it a bit.

Would be interesting to try the group map function on a SE run next year, sure it would be a useful feature.

Might be worth putting in your free app, a reminder of the benefits of the full app so people know what they are missing.

Just comparing the 4 and the mini side by side, but I wear reading glasses so that probably makes a change in comparisons. I am not noticing much difference when looking at a page of icons or a utube film, although that could depend on the film's resolution.

I nearly decided not to go for the mini as it was not a Retina display, but with the smaller screen it is clear and sharp enough for me. As for the rest of it, I am very pleased, have it set up now as I wanted it, and it matches up well with the Macbook Air. Even though starting from scratch, all content is picked up automatically from our other devices, so no tedious filling in of all the details again.

It is a pleasure to handle with its aluminium and glass construction, and although my MacBook Air is light, this is featherweight, and also much more comfortable to use in bed.

iPad 3/4 no issue in bed if you have right case, but I agree the lightness and size is great.
The retina quality is particularly noticeable when reading magazines from store I have found and indeed any other reading. Also the mini has no YouTube app which means you have to go through the browser. May be issue for some and a non issue for othersm
....just my thoughts.

For some reason YT app didn't come on as standard same as Google maps. Tut is right though just grab these for free on the App Store. Probs all part of the Apple and Google not playing nicely together lol

That's right, no YouTube or google maps app on any device with iOS6 (not specific to the mini).

No big deal though as you can get both from the App Store now.

Think it's now as Youtube is all html5 & not flash it works ok from the browser, the app is not needed? Makes more sense having it in the browser anyway instead of jumping between apps all the time.

Any further forward with an android version? Having had an ipad for a couple of years and the GF having an iPhone, can't see either of us buying anything ios for the forseable after owning a nexus 7 for the past few days.
