Stuck Brakes

Post by Paul_H » Mon Dec 31, 2012 12:58 pm

Hi

I haven't driven my S2 111S Elise for a month or so ... and came to take it out this morning and the brakes are stuck.

Any tips for un-sticking?

:cheers

If its the handbrake that's stuck, you can give the calliper arm a wee upwards tap with a hammer to release it. If its rust build up, 4K rom and dump the clutxh

As others have said.
Give some revs -it should free eventually.
Once you get them freed, you should take it up to speed and stamp on the brakes a few times to clean them up (make sure nobody's behind you first  ).
If you're parking up for a long time, probably best to leave it in gear with the handbrake off.

PS Nice colour :thumbsup
