Guy spends 2 nights in jail for supposedly "revving his car in a racist manner"

I am certainly not racist but if they stay here the least they could do is learn the lingo

Using an interpreter, Hana Saad, 23, said he had degraded them "maybe because we are Muslim".

LOL. TADTS. I like the way revving the engine will cure his oil pressure problem ... I guess whenever he let it idle the oil pressure light would come on?

Anyway, what a ridiculous convinction. How is it a breach of the peace? I hope it means they pull over every noisy moped, truck, etc., because they all make as much noise. I suggest we start a campaign for this victim and fellow lotus owner (snigger, perhaps we're all Lotus Victims) to clear his name.

It is ludicrous to suggest that just because there are some muslims in the vicinity they are the intended victims. So had a granny been standing there, would he instead be ageist? Utter tosh.

Well he is in good company, they do not come any higher profile then the Pope.

With my background, I am not racist, I hate groups of ignorant white Brits just as much as I would blacks, pinks, yellows, blues, greys, or whatever other colour they wish to call themselves.

The one big objection I have is having the word gay hijacked from the English language.

However we live in a world now that has gone PC mad, and it is going to get worse, and turn around and bite its own backside.

I had to learn Arabic when I lived in Libya so think it should work both ways personally!

Regardless of how you feel about gun laws you gotta love this!!!!

National Public Radio (NPR) interview between a female broadcaster and US Marine Corps General Reinwald who was about to sponsor a Boy Scout Troop visiting his military installation.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: So, General Reinwald, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL REINWALD: We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery, and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER: Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL REINWALD: I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

I believe anyone who settles in this country from abroad should learn to speak the language to a basic level . The classes could also be open to some of the inbred British citizens who struggle .When ever I have gone on holiday I at least try to have a stab at the language and thats just for two weeks.

The media as a whole is responsible for creating hysteria around the word Muslim . In fact media manipulation is responsible for many of the issues in this country . Look at the Bird Flu story , a year ago we were all going to be wiped out and you could get anti viral drugs on Ebay . I have not heard any mention of it for months .

In this story looks like the guy made the mistake of swearing at a cop whilst being a generally law abiding citizen . Now if he was wearing a shell suit , spat at a member of the public whilst smoking a joint he would have been OK as its expected and not worth the hassle .

While I usually get hot flushes when somebody starts talking 'Daily Mail', I really do agree with the above. If I were to live in foreign lands, you can bet your arse the first thing I would do is learn about local customs & languages.

There are whole communities (usually older generations, admittedly) where it's uncommon to speak English in an English speaking country. May not be PC, but I think it's a horrendous way to behave in a country you'd want to call home.
