How much (too!).....

Post by PhilA » Tue Sep 19, 2006 3:26 pm

Lo

Its crap, but I must get on the property ladder.
Ive seen a house, but realise that I cant afford to keep the two cars.
Ive a Focus TDCi that i bought new - and ive just paid it off, so thinking i should keep it for another 2 years.

Then ive the elise.
Jan 2005 111R Touring with alcantara instead of leather.
Saffron Yellow.
Stage 2 exhaust (with the standard one in the house!)
Pagids.
Defendall Paint protection.
Serviced at Lotus, hethel, not MMC!

just under 15k miles.

How much do u think i could sell this for?

I reallllly dont want to, but the money might have to start talking to a stationary object (and ive booked sidc for october!)

Its sh*t, become single and sell me elise - all within a month it seems!!

Cheers
Phil

Going by MMC prices, I reckon you could get up to about £25k for that. Maybe not quite as much for a private sale, but somewhere between £20k and £25k.

Flog the ford and buy a shed.

It's all the rage.

Hate to say it mate, but even 111R residuals have taken a dive! it could be as bad as £18k, but I'd hope that in the right marketplace (i.e. scotland, where there are fewer cars to choose from) you'll get £20k+

Who knows though, as is oft spouted, its only worth what someone's willing to pay for it!

I thinketh not. The only 111R`s around at that money are dubious or are the ex-silverstone track sluts.

There is a red 111r in Glasgow at Killermont that hasnt shifted for ages at 21995 so maybe about 20-21k private.

Like I said, dubious.

Odd spec, no leather, no driving lights, but has electric windows.

Maybe development or very early car.

So cough on that!

It was just an suggestion as to why it is so sparsely optioned, i know most lotus registered cars are AU.

"I do have matching hard top if you want to buy it"

Eh? What the hell what he need to keep it for? FFS, just include it with the sale of the car and put the price up a bit instead of trying to get more money out of the buyer by selling it as an "optional extra"!

I'm with JJ on the estimated private sale price. I think you'd definitely get over £20k. (If not, I got seriously stung by MMC . . . but that's to be expected I suppose
