Just spoke to a mate whos also after one of these ( but not in black, fussy sucker) but he reckons 13.5 is about right. Does it have a sunroof?

I would value it £1500 behind our European Sales Manager at Lotus at £13500 for a private sale
New engine or not it's still valued at the ODO milege - Graeme is obviously in a good mood with a large Balvenie in his hand :D
The good news is that a replacement engine is around £10k at dealer prices

He's going through a tweed phase. Think chrome would clash.

Does that not imply that "good" 996s are more than £15k ?

Well according to this thread..... Kev's is only worth 13.5.... And I can confirm it's a good one.

Can't find any with the same spec and miles for that price though.

He's refusing to sell now.

I think he'd probably let it go for 18... But he'd really want 20 do he can get an xkr.

At 15k its not worth selling. Too good a car to sell that cheap.

Can't believe I've heard them described as nothing more than a fast BMW type thing. Felt a lot more special than that to me. Totally different driving experience to a fast saloon or hatch.

Haven't really got a set budget in mind.

At 15k... A 996 like that is a no brainer.

If you start getting up to 20k for a 996... Then a 25-30k 997 starts to look like the better option. Then you're nearly at 996 GT3 money though.

Gotta draw a line somewhere... Don't really want a 30k Porsche for daily commuting and stuff.... Would care too much about keeping it mint. A 15k-ish one though... He'll yeah.
