Back on thread..............I've had a sh*g in the rear seats of a 911..... and I'm betting that no one has managed the same in an Evora

Post resurrection time. Great what you can find using search.

I’m looking to take the plunge back into Lotus ownership and seriously considering an Evora +2 because of the extra flexibility this will give with being able to get the kids in the back for short’ish journeys. Occasions where I’d be using all 4 seats would be few (that’s what family cars are for) but there would be times when I’d want to take both kids just with me. But to do this, I’d be trading-off the chance to get back to ‘roof-off’ motoring.

I’d like to hear what the real world experience of Evora owners has been on the usability of the rear seats I’m not looking for (or expecting) a 4 seater but it would be nice to actually get the kids in there without removing limbs 1st.

p.s. if any Evora owners in the SE Dogging Sub-forum have managed to trump Mr Boag’s achievements in his 911, this could also give a handy and practical insight into the space in the back.

The rear is VERY small.

I've actually carried three adult passengers in mine once, albeit small women and it wasn't comfy for anyone.

I've also taken two guys on a longer journey in it, but whoever sits in the back is sitting with their head at an angle. The distance between the seat and the roof is very short. The leg room isn't too bad, as the front legroom is massive so the people in the front can move forward. Depends how big your kids are..

Fine for small kids, once they're past the 4'10" mark though it could be a squeeze.
Space for legs behind the driver is tight if the driver is tall.

Our two terrors are convinced the back seats of Evora are comfy enough. Approx 4ft each, give or take 2-3" each way.

They've explored thoroughly on two separate visits to Murray now.

Both times with driver seat set correctly for me. Perhaps pax seat fully fwd though.

They may form a different view after 2 hrs down the m74 to the Outlaws', or 4 hrs cross country to Wester Ross.

But I am seriously tempted to force their hand. Just need to work out which one of them I can sell to fund the venture

My 9 y.o. sat in the back of the red sports Evora this morning too. She is 4ft 8. With the driver seat in a reasonably comfortable position for me (6ft/long legs) she had her knees sticking around the side slightly, but said leg room wise it was OK, for shortish journeys I imagine. Her head was only an inch or two off the roof. Main thing that caught my eye was the seat back ended at the height of her neck. I didn't check, but the seats seemed to have 'dummy' looking headrests built in rather than actual headrests, which wouldn't be adjustable. Didn't like the thought of nothing behind her head from a crash/whiplash/paranoid parent p.o.v.
