Peter I'm not sure now re the clam. The problem with the original one is that the salvage guys just cut around all the mounting points, hence they are missing. The new (cough) blue clam was complete but not in as good order . Now that we have something to use as a template , we can probably get this repaired at some stage.

The build has slowed slightly due to work commitments, but still collecting a few parts.
I have found a side door glass in EH4 which I need to get back to near manchester airport, please pm me if anyone might be able to help out hear for a little beer money

I can certainly collect and store for you until the SE courier service can deliver it to you. Not sure when next I'll be heading south, though ...brooke bond wrote:The build has slowed slightly due to work commitments, but still collecting a few parts.

Thanks for the replies guys , we will see if I can make a courier collection work - The cheapest courier I can find is £46 who will take glass. I will now see if I can arrange to get it collected from the seller.robin wrote:I can certainly collect and store for you until the SE courier service can deliver it to you. Re: My 1 week Elise
Sorry, a quick re-cap.
I ended up buying a slightly damaged car which was previously owned by a couple of Scottish Elises members, so some may recognise it .
Anyways, we (me and a pal) subjected it to a very comprehensive rebuild, with no screw left untouched.
Saturday just gone was the first time that we actually had a chance to drive her for the first time.

I know the body doesn't look mint, but beauty is more than skin deep

Getting hacked off with my iPad telling me again that I can not watch a video, as Apple does not allow Flash to be installed.

Thanks Ross, useful post as it showed me that Rich, who converted N1 and N3 is still in business, as I was told that he had packed the garage in, but looks as if he moved from Middlewich to Winsford and is now concentrating on the MX5, though he still services Elises.

Tut , I had heard the same. I first knew of Rich when he was working with Bookatrack, trackside. I'd then heard he had sort of left the business, but I think maybe that he simply went racing MX5's , which he has had some impressive finishes in. He obvously likes MX5's but has always had links to the Elise and beleive he was instrumental in some early Honda power.tut wrote:Thanks Ross, useful post as it showed me that Rich, who converted N1 and N3 is still in business, as I was told that he had packed the garage in, but looks as if he moved from Middlewich to Winsford and is now concentrating on the MX5, though he still services Elises.

They are not far from Oulton and so it is even possible to pop down at lunch stop for some last minute tweaks if you every are on track there.
They have a really well equiped set there now with some proper equipment and are exceptionally nice to boot

You may be pleased to know this car has now won 3 of the 5 Seloc speed championship rounds (we have only entered 3 though so far)
