Well, another post to the MMC tribute thread.

I bought an Exige of a friend who had parked up the bad boy for the last 4 years. Not knowing what i was taking on I sent it to MMC for Craig to sort.

I think in all my years of using MMC this latest effort has to be the best. 3 pages of replacement parts, organising the cracked windcsreen replaced, liasing with insurers etc, fitting replacement heating parts while clam was off to save me more ££ - the part list was 3 pages long!

Craig also provided me with a list of what else needs sorted to make it absolutely A1 showroom spec - paint being one of them, and helped out with another few things in addition, including fitment of a few things I'd provided.

Ready ahead of time, bill way less than anticipated, constant updates - fantastic. I think what should actually convince anyone still unaware of the service and attitude of MMC though, is that they were SO proud of what they had achieved fitting it in and around other jobs when they could (as there was no rush) in just 2 weeks was evident, when they parked it in front of the showroom to show me what a "transformation" they had managed. Pride and enthuasiasm - when did you last find that in a main dealer?

My Aston needs a few things sorted - guess where it is heading? :thumbsup :cheers

PS- is there any sort of garage awards/service awards for Dealers within Lotus, as these guys deserve proper recognition on a grander stage than SE for the work they are doing.

I know its not quite an award as such, but...

Aye, that would have been me heading home. I had spent 3 hrs at the Gyle earlier whilst the car was getting serviced in the morning. Quite happy never to go back in the shopping centre for another year

Today was the 1st time I have used MMC for servicing for the past 8 years despite having 7 Lotuses over the past 10 years. Admittedly this was a "free" service as part of the deal to buy the car 6 months ago but even so, the whole ethos seems to be so much more customer centered. An incredible transformation and I won't hesitate to go back. Never thought I would say that.

Had mine in for a service in Feb, 1st class service as usual and sensible pricing. The technician said he felt the front geo was slightly out on test drive. I took it with a pinch of salt at the time as the geo had been done 1.5K miles ago.

Had it into Willie this morning and right enough toe on drivers side was spot on, passenger side was about 10 minutes out. Hats off to the tech. Still it was an excuse to get rid of those dirty camber shims :D
