What gasket are you planning on using on the 160 ?

S

Rover MLS always, but modified to work with KingK water pump and block reworking.

I've finished lots of super Ks

including one on a plenum and single TB, with less valve, LESS CAM same rev limit wet sumped that has beaten the best 240bhp na hondas by 32bhp and 30lbft!

bought /sold/crashed ........... sounds like a few driving lessons rather than nice engines is what you need?

We've got to wait a year? This thread is boring already.....

As some of you will already know, the engine is for my car.

It is currently totally back to standard, and fine, but looking forward to the new engine.

It is not a full "King K " build, rather a build to my spec. I want to retain as much of the 160 parts as practical, and i know that it not going to be a standard S160, its going to be a whole lot better.

I want to retain the cams, and inlet, still running a single throttle body, so it will look as it did from the outside.

It would be good if the thread can be given some respect, from both "sides" if that what I can call it, as has been said before, it is a technical thread about an engine rebuild and install, it could be a K20, Duratec, or a turbo nutter bike engine, but its not, its about updating, improving, and installing a 1.8K back into my car, which , has been said before, Is my choice.

I am sure there will be many out there that will have questions, so please do post them up, as others do on many technical threads, that the point, to share and discuss. But if its going to end up as a bun fight, which I dont want, I will have one of the Mods remove the whole thread, which would be a great loss to many on SE, so please keep it fair.
Either way, the engine will go in my car, and it will make a few outings on track, etc. but the engine is not being built with a track car in mind, its for mainly road use, as thats what I use the car for mostly now.

Cheers

Thanks Stu :-).

Usual rules. No name calling, abuse, etc., etc., etc. Keep your contributions technical or not at all - we've General, etc., for such banter. If you feel you've been maligned, I would rather you report the post than come back with some witty or not so witty banter. Feel free to edit your posts to remove anything you already think might not be in line with that ...

By the way, before you all go "yawn" there goes Robin droning on about keeping it fair and nice and all, I've spent hours of my time in recent months moderating this forum. I am close to not bothering any more. Those that know me know that I don't make threats - I'm just saying that it's no fun and I know that I'm not the only mod that feels that way. So please can you all remember that the moderators do this:

Your work is appreciated, as is all the work done by every moderator :thumbsup , but I hope in the future that your time spent moderating and removing unnecessary posts does not take up too much of your valuable time.

I will echo what Robin said. Don't screw this one up please.

And now I'm looking forward to seeing the progress. Stu you could be making an inspired move. But will it still go "brrrrp brrrrp brrrrp" at idle? Won't feel the same otherwise :-)

Genuinely looking forward to reading this King_K. (K powered 135R. And having just driven to work this evening in it still enjoying it despite the rattles and the scruffiness).
