+1 glad to see this thread and the outcome regardless of the result to be honest. I don't think that anyone on here really gives a stuff what engine they have in their car it is the end user experience that counts.


What gasket are you planning on using on the 160 ?

Glad i went honda if thats the wait for a K series that supposedly beats it. I've had a honda, raced it, sold it, bought a K, had HGF, fixed it, sold it, passed my motorbike test and bought/sold/crashed 4 bikes all in the time you still havent finished your super K.

I've finished lots of super Ks

including one on a plenum and single TB, with less valve, LESS CAM same rev limit wet sumped that has beaten the best 240bhp na hondas by 32bhp and 30lbft!

where did you read that???/ This thread is not about the KingK plenum engine, that will go on another thread.

As some of you will already know, the engine is for my car.

It is currently totally back to standard, and fine, but looking forward to the new engine.

It is not a full "King K " build, rather a build to my spec. I want to retain as much of the 160 parts as practical, and i know that it not going to be a standard S160, its going to be a whole lot better.

I want to retain the cams, and inlet, still running a single throttle body, so it will look as it did from the outside.

It would be good if the thread can be given some respect, from both "sides" if that what I can call it, as has been said before, it is a technical thread about an engine rebuild and install, it could be a K20, Duratec, or a turbo nutter bike engine, but its not, its about updating, improving, and installing a 1.8K back into my car, which , has been said before, Is my choice.

I am sure there will be many out there that will have questions, so please do post them up, as others do on many technical threads, that the point, to share and discuss. But if its going to end up as a bun fight, which I dont want, I will have one of the Mods remove the whole thread, which would be a great loss to many on SE, so please keep it fair.
Either way, the engine will go in my car, and it will make a few outings on track, etc. but the engine is not being built with a track car in mind, its for mainly road use, as thats what I use the car for mostly now.
