Vicente is a very nice genuine guy, who has gone to the trouble of ensuring that some short end parts that he had made were concordant with OEM manufacturing standards - unlike many many others, consequently I have given him as much help, support and encouragement as possible, but we have no financial or formal links what so ever.

if we are going to get into a comparision, I want to see it dynoed on TDi's Rotatest so that it can be a verifiable, no arguement figure.

(Quite happy to cover the cost of the dyno time if that becomes an issue.)

Also, just to be clear, we are talking a STD K block, Std crank, Std bore, std head (as in NOT VVC/VHPD/Vulcan/other big valve/port one)?

To be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR.

Yes we ARE talking about, a totally standard K series block, bar the work I do to blueprint it, we ARE talking about a standard crank, we ARE talking about standard 80mm bore, and the head IS a stock K16 head, of which there were 6 million made. IE NOT a VVC/MS2VHPD/VULCAN head.

And I spoke to Sam at TDI months ago about bring cars down to do comparative runs for comparison purposes against hondas - and found him very very interested, and very open and welcoming.

I see no difficulty in doing so with this car - and you scuffers are welcome on the day!

Yea I'm aiming

don't know where this engine will come out - more on that later but I am aiming at those with this 160 engine

What I will predict is that I can beat these graphs with the KingK plenum engine forwhich I will start another thread shortly.

Sounds like a very sensible plan for such a mint car. Good luck to you.
Honda works for me and Stu has driven my car so I'm sure he will be able to give an expert comparison better than any graph :thumbsup

Cheers mikey

so glad most people can read on here too, especially as this thread is just half of the same project, the other half being the KingK plenum engine thread to come.
