Now that Bowie has a new album out and is back in fashion again i did some research.
I went to see him FORTY

years ago today at the Music Hall in Aberdeen when he was still Ziggy Stardust with the Spiders from Mars.
First rock concert i went to.
Definitely getting an old git - good gig though.

19 May 1978. Never Say Die tour by Black Sabbath supported by a then little known band called Van Halen. Awsome gig by Van Halen but a little jaded Black Sabbath (Ozzy was away with the mixer). Hearing has never fully recovered
Not as old as Tonyg but still 35 Years ago this weekend.
Yikes.

Now there's a concert I'd love to have been at. Good memories?

Gigs are noisey and they are full of people but that is the whole point.......you guys were got 'old' years before 'Old Tonyg' as he should now be referred to on here....
Waiting for Tut to chine in with when he saw the Beatles in Hamburg in 62 or Elvis in Houston back in 58

or maybe Shirley Bassey.....Should start another thread......what was Tut's first gig.....

My first concerts were probably either Status Quo or Lindisfarne Christmas Concerts at City Halls in Newcastle - cant remember what years but it would have been in the 70's
Status Quo concerts don't age me in any way as they have been performing constantly since the 1700's I believe.
