It's not what I would class as a nice sounding mechanical noise.

It's in the same bracket as a straight-cut gearbox on a race car, IMO. Not a nice noise, but marks it out as something special to enthusiasts, I guess. Most race bikes run dry clutches.

I'm just reminded of Jon's old Ducati sitting idling in my driveway and Elaine looking at it like she thinks it's about to explode at any second!

nah you are totally right - its anot a pretty noise at all,

but there's something about it,

and yup - sounds like explosion is iminent!!

and everyone asks if its 'OK' lol
